Capt. Chispa has the passion, the knowledge, and dedication to find the fish. He loves what he does, and that is important. I have been fishing offshore for 50 years, and after I sold my boat I wanted to find a Captain that could take me fishing and find the fish. I am blessed that I found Capt. Chispa. This was my 6th outing, and even though it was a 4 hour outing, he found the mahis. Even though I have been fishing for five decades, I always learn something new in every outing. If you want to go out for serious fishing, go with Capt. Chispa.

A group of 4 went out with Carlos back in November and we had a blast. His knowledge and passion for fishing is second to none. There were fish everywhere the day we went out, but they just weren't biting. However Carlos pulled out his bag of tricks and got us on the fish. We ended up with 7 Yellowfin, 1 Blackfin and 1 Skipjack. Turned out to be a great day of fishing and you are wasting your time if you book with anyone other than Carlos. Will definitely be booking again if given the opportunity.

He has top of the line equipment. He knows the waters extremely well. He reads the currents, birds, and baits like a machine. He knows the fishing seasons like no other but above all he will make sure you are catching fish. He is always teaching. He is the best. I am book for a year with him.

Fished 6 days with Captain Chispa, and it is our second time fish with The Drop Fishing Charters. Every trip has been amazing, we caught big tuna, jack, mackerel, king, tarpon and lots of other species! Captain Chispa is passionate and helpful, the most important is, he is really a badass at catching fish, we will come back in winter for mahi and wahoo for sure.

Best fishing guide is Puerto Rico! We caught tons of yellowfin in two days. If you are looking to catch lots of fish, and have a great time don't look any further. He’s got the best tackle and boat! He will put you on fish, and is beyond confident in what he does. Carlos is the man! Coming from someone that does a lot of offshore fishing in the gulf he is a serious professional fisherman, and will put fish on the deck!

Great day of fishing. Capt Carlos really knows the area and works harder than any other captain to give you the best chance to catch fish. We caught two nice yellowfins and a few skip Jack tunas. Other boats stayed closer to shore and didn’t catch any fish.

I had two of the best fishing days of my life with Captain Carlos. On the first day we caught Mahi Mahi, Mutton Snapper, Kingfish, Grouper, Blue Runner, Amberjack, Barracuda. I am probably forgetting some species it was so active. I loved that we used a variety of techniques too, from live bait trolling, jigging artificial lures, drifting, casting, slow pitch jig. A few days later we went out again and caught several species including a Yellow Tail Snapper that was a catch of a lifetime. I’ll never forget that memory and I learned so much from Captain Carlos. I cannot wait to fish with him again.

Awesome time! Be ready to get some work in, Captain found the fish and it was non stop all day on the reels. Carlos is passionate and very knowledgeable about fishing, you can see and hear it from him the whole day. Sharing what he is thinking and doing was really enjoyable for me, reminded me a lot of what I do in the woods of Alaska when I’m out setting my trap line, reading the environment and the animals in it to understand where you need to be to become successful. Excited to return at some point and do it again.

1st time going out fishing here in PR. Read on reviews for different charters but this fine caught our eye. 4 of us absolutely loved it. We each caught a tuna but the ladies got the yellow fins. Wish we could have gotten more but the fish weren't biting. Awesome time with Capt Carlos and 1st mate Christian. Had a blast. Will definitely book with him when I come back. Captain Carlos loves what he does for a living so you can't go with his charter. He is very professional and good at what he does! He put us on the fish, we caught a couple wahoo, a Blue Marlin, and best of all he gave us a memory of a lifetime! Could not have asked for a better trip with captain Carlos a very hardworking knowledgeable local. He took us out and out did himself by delivering our target species. (Mahi mahi, wahoo). It was a day I will never forget. I highly recommend you book a trip and find out for yourself.
Already made plans to come back in the summer for marlin and tarpon!!!

Did a number on the mahi, caught a triple tail, lost some wahoo, saw a blue marlin and last of all saw millions of flying fish. Awesome experience. Will be back in a few months
